My favorite memory was celebrating Christmas with my children and now with my grandchildren. I have always decorated my house in different themes -- for the past few years it has been snowmen. Also, the last couple of years my brothers and their families have been visting so we have a house full. Christmas is definitely for children.

I think my favorite memory of Christmas was my (adopted)daughters first Christmas at age 14 months. She was all dressed in her party dress and just sitting patiently in front of the Christmas tree waiting for everyone to come open presents.

Forgot to mention the blog candy looks "yummy".

Congrats on hitting 25,000. Love your blog.

My favorite memory, my one twin brother and I snuck downstairs and hit behind a chair as we wanted to see santa when he put our presents under the tree. Guess where our parents found us the next morning sound asleep. We never did see Santa leave those presents but the milk and cookies were gone so he must have been there, right? :))

My brother passed away 3 years from cancer so I will always cherish that memory.

Hi sweetie!! WOW!! Such gorgeous and generous candy!! I will be posting this in my sidebar for you hun!! :) My fav Christmas memory has to be when the boy were so little and we asked them to leave a letter for Santa saying ONE thing that they wanted the MOST...and of course Santa thought he already had it ALL covered!! Well each child asked for something TOTALLY different!! LOL!! So hubby went out LATE Christmas Eve to look for these items and amazingly found EACH and EVERY one of those things...the boys had their trust in Santa all along!! :) They were so excited in their tiny little voices saying Santa was the best!! Oh memories!! Shedding tear now!! LOL!!

Hi Beth,
What lovely candy - congrats on your hits total!! My favourite Christmas memory???? When I was little I loved pink - my nan used to make alot of clothes for us kids and one particular year she made me a really soft pink long dressing gown with little white flowers on the collar - I felt like a million dollars in it. Sadly she is no longer with us but it is memories like that which keep her alive for me!

My favorite Christmas memory is giving birth to my baby girl, Abigail. The best Chrirstmas present ever!! And I'm looking forward to celebrating Christmas and her 1st birthday this year.

what a fabulous mixture of candy - lots of things to play with!! My favourite Christmas memory has to be the last Christmas with my Nana - we were all invited to Aberdeen by my Aunt and we had such a laugh - wearing silly masks, opening presents, walking arm in arm in the park. Of course, I did not know then that it would be Nana's last Christmas, but now that I do, it makes it all the more poignant. (and I have photos of a much earlier Christmas where Nana is in utter hysterics laughing fit to bust - I love those!)

Congratulations on reaching 25,000 hits! Thank you for sharing your fun ideas. My favorite memories are from Christmas Eves we spent at my grandmother's. She made everything so special.. and she herself was a very special person.

congrats beth on your milestone! my favorite Christmas memory - really hard to narrow it to one - there are 2 that really stand out for me.
1. I was sick and home from school. Got to go with my mom to her ceramics class - she was painting a tea set - which I of course hoped was for me. She told me it was for the lady next to her, a gift for her little girl and she was helping her get it finished in time. Oh - the joy and delight I felt on Christmas morning when I unwrapped it from the tree.
2. One year I guess my parents were more strapped for cash than normal. We were told there wouldn't be presents really for Christmas - I'm sure we had a few to open --- but what I really remember is the "shopping" that we did "virtually" --- of course back then, that meant going through the catalogs and sales flyers, cutting out pictures and putting them in envelopes. It was so much fun to open those Christmas morning and see what someone "would" have bought for us.

I do think #2 is my favorite.
Thanks for the chance to share in your celebration!
p.s. - love the new look to your blog!

WOW. Some of my favorite times were with my daughter who is now a senior in high school. She invites 3 friends over and we spend the day baking and making a special homemade gift for their mom.We hadn't done this in 2 years and she asked if they could do this again, She really missed it and I guess it is also something her friends had grow to love as well.

Congrats on 25000 hits and thanks for offering this great blog candy.
My favorite memory of Christmas was when my first tree decorating experience I was little and my grandparents bought a big Christmas tree. That night I kept getting out of bed just to go look at the tree and the shining ornaments. I must've done that about a dozen times until I finally fell asleep.

My favorite Christmas memory is as a child, my Grandma would always bake homemade cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. It was wonderful to sit around the tree with my family and open gifts and smell breakfast as it baked!

Congrats on the hits! I have many favorite memories from my children and now my grandchildren. One from my childhood was the year I got my red record player that closed and had a handle so I could carry it around.

Congratulations Beth! I love your blog, and am so happy that you have reached this great milestone.
I have always loved Christmas, and it is our family's favorite holiday. We spend it at home in the morning, and the children open gifts from Santa - no matter how old we are! We have always said that you must keep believing, because when you stop believing, he stops coming! Then we go to my Mom's for the rest of the day, and what do you know --- Santa has been there, too! My favorite memories are with family, especially now with grandchildren. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

one ofMy favorite Christmas memories is the year I asked my hubby for a sewing machine...he laughed and said "you will never use it" so I just let the idea go, on Christmas day we exchanged gifts and I got more than I ever expected, then our neighbors strolled over with a wrapped box saying "Santa delivered this to our house by mistake" Yep a sewing machine!!! That machine changed my life, I began a business designing childrens clothing and opened a store!! that is a day I will never forget!!! {hes a keeper}

Hi, Beth! It is so much fun to read about all of these Christmas memories! I have so many it is hard to narrow them down. First a childhood memory: My favorite Aunt always hosted a Christmas Eve dinner for all of the family. After dinner, we would open presents. I remember the year my sister and I both received Bride Dolls. My Aunt recycled Mom's wedding dress and made dresses for our dolls. She also made coats and berets for them. Mine was purple with black trim, and my sister's was red with black trim. We were so proud of our dolls! We took them everywhere we visited during Christmas vacation.
I loved Christmas with my four children when they were little. The excitement in the air! We always gave the kids new pajamas, Christmas coloring books, and crayons on Christmas Eve night. My youngest son would go to bed early so that Santa would "come sooner."He told us years later, when he was grown, that he always looked to see if there were presents under the tree when he awoke in the middle of the night!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very happy holiday season!

My favoriate Christmas memory is Christmas of 1973 when my husband and I were in Germany and far from family. He invited the enlisted men in his squad who were not going home for Christmas to come to our house. We fed about 25 men as he brought home other young men who were very young (17 and 18 or 19) who were away from home for the first time. One of the young men asked me what I was going to do with the wings from the Goose I had served along with Turkey and all the trimmings. When I told him I was putting them in the trash, he asked if he could have them as they always had Goose at his house for Christmas dinner. As I passed him in the kitchen with a load of dishes, I heard him say..."now it's Christmas." I had to go to my bedroom to get my emotions under control. All it took for him to have Christmas was a pair of goose wings. I will never forget that young man.

Congratulations Beth on reaching 25,000 visitors! So Awesome!!! My favorite Christmas memory is of my middle son Philip. He was 3. We had gotten our tree and while he was down for a nap we put the lights and decorations on it. I had the camera ready for when he came out to catch the expression of awe on his face when he saw the tree. All he could say was "lights. lights!"

My favorite memory happened just last year when my dd had her miracle baby. It was his first Christmas (not that he will remember he was 1 week old) but we all felt so blessed. It still brings tears to my eyes when I remember the joy of my dd and her dh as they were so very, very happy. They kept saying they had rec'd the best gift of all.

Congrats on all your hits and the wonderful pieces of art you create.

My Favorite Christmas memories revolve around my childhood when we all went to "Grandma's House" to play with all of our cousins, and hope that it would snow, so we could go sledding.
I Like your first attempt at the Herringbone cards and will be glad to post a comment on my blog to yours.

My favorite Christmas memories all revolve around my dearest friends, and so it's hard to pick just one memory.

I lost my best friend this last spring in a terrible car accident, so this year memories of our Christmases together are foremost on my mind. For some reason I remembered today the time we made a coconut covered goose cake for a guy in our college dorm who liked to goose the ladies. He laughed so hard, as did we all!!

Thank you for offering this delightful blog candy!

Your question got me thinking. When I was a child my whole family and my Grandmother would go to midnight church services. The choir would sing Christmas music. I would always come home with a warm fuzzy feeling.

My favorite Christmas was the year that I got a little white kitten for Christmas. Mom had to work so hard to keep it quiet over night so I would be surprised the next morning. I think I was about 11 years old. That little white kitten became the matriarch of a long line of white kittens in our family. Thank you for offering wonderful blog candy.

My very favorite memory of Christmas was when me and my other sister Linny shared a room. Okay heres the story.
Me and Linny said that night that who ever woke up first would have to wake the other one up like always. I'm not positive if it was very early morning or at night time but my older sister Mindy came in with a blanket and a pillow and she layed down on the floor and talked with both me and linny (I think it was early morning). Me and Linny had bunk beds, I was on the top so my job was to put my ear to the wall and listen for when my dad got up (we wake up REALLY early and he dos not at ALL). But I liked it while we were talking to each other. Now we all have our own rooms and we dont really talk much but thankfully my job is still to find out when my dad gets up.
Thanks for letting me share my memmory. I really did want to share it with someone.

My memoirs - mum has left to work. I with my father should celebrate houses. I do not remember as it has turned out, but we have lost keys from the house and all night long walked on streets. We spoke much, played, we were invited by strangers, we drank tea and went to walk again. It was very good, quiet, easy. For all life I did not speak so much with my father....
Thank you!
Marry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!
