Technique Junkie Day
Today I played with a couple of the new techniques from the Dec. 2010/Jan.2011 newsletter they both are both very fun techniques and this would be the perfect time to subscribe to Pat's newsletter it is chocked full of wonderful techniques and is printed 6 times a year.
Now this first card uses the Texture Plate Smoosh which is the background piece, I used the sketch is this weeks SCS sketch the image is a digi called "Touched By Love" and is a image I won at Sundays With Crissy for being one of the first 12 to sign up for her challenge this week Crissy is also the artist who made this image.
The second technique I used is called Glossy Gesso which I used on the background paper again the stamp used on the BG and verse is from SU and the poinsettia stamp is Outline Stamps I stamped my image 4 times with Tim Holtz embossing ink used gold embossing powder cut out each layer used dimensional dots to pop up the last 2 layers.
Supplies
SU card stock- night of navy, elegant eggplant and lavender lace.
Stamps- SU and Outline
Inks-Brocade blue, sky blue, turquoise, Tim Holtz embossing ink.

Making Christmas Cards
I am working on some Christmas cards today, and just let me say I just love SplitCoast Stampers for inspiration found 2 lovely cards today that I C.A.S.E.'d.
This first one I cased from MHines I just loved the simplicity of it I used 2 Stampin-Up sets Lovely As A Tree and Delightful Decorations, stamped with Real Red and Almost Artichoke torn a couple of layers of white to resemble snow drifts and added Frost Lace Stickles.
My next card was cased from Wanda the Starlight Stamper this also is one of the Wednesday sketches from SCS sketch 253.
Now for this card I used one of Fred's bird images from Fred She Said I just love this Chickadee I printed out the colored image instead of the black and white used Stampin-Up Whisper White and Real Red card stock DP Martha Stewart Cuttlebug Arygle embossing folder plus Swiss Dot, Martha's branch punch added red beads and red stickles.
Okay I have one more thing to share today daughter and I were beading yesterday she had seen her first Christmas Spider at a bazaar we went to a couple of weeks ago well we decided to make some of our own and here are 2 of mine.
What do you think? Do they look like spiders ? We kind of free handed them no pattern, had beads a flying Lisa's where a little fancier.
Well hope you have enjoyed my post today, now back to my card making.
While you are at Fred, She Said be sure and check this challenge out in her group at PCP

Now here is my project this week hope you like it.
Aren't these birds beautiful I printed the colored images on to decal paper but for some reason they printed in black.....I than added some AI with a brush to give them some color after applying the decal paper to the tile I outlined the tile with score tape and applied gold and black micro beads to the edges, plan to hang them on the wall.
Not real happy with my picture... hubby bought me a new camera yesterday for Christmas and I am still trying to learn how to use it so bear with me.
Don't forget to share your project with us at Betty Bee's Buzz so we can come visit and leave you some love.
