Altered Chalkboard

Good morning my friends, I promise to get around to all  of your blogs today......been so busy haven't had a chance.
Today for my IBFS project I have an altered chalkboard I have made for my oldest granddaughter for Christmas....I can share it here as my family never checks my blog.......I have used one of my favorite stamps from IBFS Large Owl on Branch.....she is a huge owl fan and her dad calls her Hoot so that is the reason for the Hoot.

I started off with a 5X7 chalkboard painting the frame part with caramel colored acrylic paint added some crackling with Mahogany Distress I stamped my image with Ranger embossing Ink sprinkle on some Silver embossing powder after heat embossing the image I colored in the branches with Sakura green gel pen......added the word Hoot using white sticker on to the embellishments cut a few pieces of Burlap paper strips  to put behind the bow added some artificial pine branches.... made the bow added a pine cone embellishment from K&Co. to top of bow with a little twine....all of his was hot glued on to the frame.....then I added some frame hardware to top with some baling twine to hang on the wall.

Really was pleased with how this came out and hope she will love it, but then I know she will as my grandkids are always so appreciative when I make something for them.

Before I leave today want to tell you about Della's final sale for 2014....IBFS is offering 25% off almost every thing in the store exclusions bister, grab bags, Stampinback paper and  stencils, when checking out just use Christmas14 as your code.

Shy Bear Ornament

Hello Peeps....back today with my project for I Brake For card I decided to do a Christmas ornament using Santa Face Shy Bear he fit perfectly on this porcelain star.

My image stamped so pretty on this ornament I used Memento black ink than colored in the image with Stampin-Up markers Real Red, Brilliant Blue, and Creamy Caramel....the fur was colored with Stickles stamped snowflakes from the Christmas Plate in a blue....after everything dried I sprayed the ornament with clear acrylic spray and sprinkled with glitter...lastly added a red bow.

Do hope you had the chance to shop over at Della's great sale she had on all of her full sheets if not you can still use my code to get 10% off your entire order.

Hope everyone is having a great week I have a busy one in store for me.

Snowflakes and Angels

Those are a few of my favorite about you ......don't you just love angels and snowflakes.....well that is what you are getting on my card today.

First let me take care of a little business before I tell you about my card.....Della has extended her Cyber Monday sale she has all of her Full Sheet stamps reduced to $15.00 and the best part is that you can get an additional 10% savings by using my code when you check out.
Okay now to my card The Snowflake Angel can be purchased separate or on the full sheet over at

I went very simple with this card I stamped my image on vellum using embossing ink then I used some blue sparkly embossing powder.....really like how it turned out so decided not to color the image......I then mounted the vellum on silver card stock and used a corner punch to hold the image next I mounted that onto some K&CO designer paper which is mounted on CTMH DP....added ribbon with stick pin and card is a 5 x 7 as this stamp is a little big.

Okay peeps that will do it for me this week not sure I will be around much with the holidays coming have some projects to do for my family but you may have to wait till after Christmas to see them.

Have a great week.

Skating Santa with a Z-Fold Card

Good morning peeps well it is almost I am going to share 2 cards with you both are the same style one I did on Sat. was not pleased with it so re-did this morning with a larger size.....I got this idea from Gail Wheeler over at Stampingville and the fact that I just got some new border dies from Spellbinders made this card that much more interesting....thank you Gail for the inspiration.

This one I thought was a little busy and wasn't showcasing Della's stamp that well from the Christmas Plate....what do you think?

this is how it looks closed
This is the one I worked on this morning and is a 6 X 6 card got my borders straighter on this one and went with a little different color scheme and the image is one of Rick St. Dennis's Randi Dandi Skating Santa

and here standing
My images are both from I Brake For Stamps colored with Copic's, plus a little Star Dust Stickles on Santa's fur, papers are Recollections Handmade Holidays, dies are all from Spellbinders.

Just want to remind you that Della has extended her Crazy 8 sale over at IBFS all half sheets are on sale till Mon. for 8.88 and even though these sheets are on sale you can still use my code for even more savings that is 10% more off your order.

Clean and Simple Christmas

Hello peeps, how was your week-end? Mine was quiet and uneventful except for listening to my poor husband coughing his head off.....but it gave me an excuse to hide out in my craft room.

I found a card on Pinterest using Lovely as a Tree from SU that was embossed in gold on black and just loved the look....well I decided to do a card in silver and black and used a stamp from Northwood Rubber called Holly Pinecone and Ribbon.....and sentiment is from My Craft Spot Tiny Tags Christmas  which I purchased with my winning gift certificate from a few weeks ago.

Had to use a rick rack type of ribbon as I couldn't find any silver but I guess it you think I should add some color to the pine cone's to make them stand out more or just leave them alone.
